Day 5:
So a situation occurred and it made me take inventory of my life. When wack shit happens in my life, it really brings me to 2 questions:
- Are you ready to do what’s necessary to progress?
- Are you learning your lesson?
Number 1 looks different in every situation, but it’s along the lines of: are you ready to have some real, maybe tough conversations? Are you willing to take yourself out of the situation for a bit: are you wrong?.. do you need to apologize? & my personal favorite, are you willing to burn all this shit to the ground and start over from scratch? So you can get the foundation right because we all know that if the foundation isn’t solid whatever it is WILL crumble.
Number 2: are you learning from this? & what are you learning? And this doesn’t have to be figuring out the questions you’ve been asking yourself for decades right. Lol. What did this teach you about yourself? It caused an emotion, what’s the emotion & what specifically caused you to feel this way?
(Can you tell that I’m analytical as hell?)
There’s a follow-up question to Number 2:
Is this a new lesson or have you experienced this lesson and feeling previously?
I believe that the universe/God/ancestors (whatever you choose to believe in) will have mistakes and situations repeat in our lives until we learn the lesson.
It’s a personal goal of mine to not have to learn the same lesson twice. Sometimes I’m hardheaded, stubborn, and really want things to go my way though and when I get like that I do experience the same lesson more than once. And it’s always until I change my behavior. As soon as I move different & do what’s necessary, I’m good. I never repeat that lesson again.
That’s really a key to this life thing: you experience something, you do what’s necessary (what’s hard/uncomfortable) – you pivot. You take the lesson and you make room in your life to learn new lessons.
